  1. How many rings? A jar full of rings, and the countdown at 4.

    Look.

    Tap “I'm ready”. A jar of dice, stars, hearts or rings shows for five seconds. Then it vanishes.

  2. You said 286. The jar says… 236, while the jar fills back up.

    Guess.

    Type how many. The jar fills back up while the count climbs past your number, or stops short of it.

  3. Sharp: you said 286, 5.1% off, too high. Share buttons, and what every emoji means, with yours marked.

    Get your emoji.

    From 🎯 bullseye to 💀 lost in the jar, with the whole scale in words. The share is your emoji and a dare, never the number, so nothing is spoiled.

  4. A friend jar's big reveal: there were 288. Everyone's emoji and how far off they were, closest first, and who sat out.

    Make it a friend jar.

    One jar for your group chat, the same for everyone in it. All day the board shows only who has played. At the big reveal, 20:00 UTC, everyone's score, closest first.

The big jar: higher or lower?

The big number on the screen is not the answer. It's the crowd's current guess, and it moves every time someone bets.

    Look at the jar.

    Marbles, jelly beans, golf balls, chickpeas. Some days it's how many, some days it's how heavy. The machine drew it and counted it; the number exists nowhere else.

    Bet against the crowd.

    Think the truth is above the crowd's guess? Tap ▲ Higher. Below? ▼ Lower. Pick 50 chips or go all in. Bet again any time, switch sides if you like.

    Read the clues. Read the crowd.

    Six clues drop through the day: a zoomed crop, a colour count, a range. Early bets are cheap hunches. Late bets know more, but so does everyone else.

    20:00 UTC. Truth.

    The real number is revealed. Right side of the truth, you win chips. Wrong side, you lose them. Then the leaderboard, your share card, and a fresh 1,000 chips at midnight.

The big jar: a jar of beads next to a price line that climbs and then collapses when clue 6 drops.

Made to be argued about.

  • Rumours. Once a day, post one anonymous tip: higher or lower. At the reveal it's marked true or a lie, for everyone to see. Truth-tellers build a record. Liars build a different one.
  • Leagues. One link puts your group chat on its own leaderboard. Same jar as the world, private bragging rights.
  • Friend jars. Every league also gets one Flash Jar a day, the same for all of you. Names only until the big reveal, then everyone's score.
  • Share cards. Mid-day: "I'm in, higher than 312" with no spoilers. After close: your result, Wordle-style. Everyone who joins after you and bets your way pushes your position up.
  • Clue alerts. Turn on notifications and your phone tells you when the next clue lands.
  • Two devices, one you. No account. A link code carries your streak, record and leagues to your phone.

Inside the game.

  • The jar is drawn fresh every day, with a label hiding part of it so nobody can just count.
  • The big number is the crowd's live guess. It moves every time someone bets.
  • Two buttons. Pick 50 to all-in, tap higher or lower. Change your mind any time.
  • Your bet in plain words: committed, value now, profit or loss, break-even. Shares stay hidden.

Quick answers.

Is this gambling?

No. There is no real money anywhere in DA JAR. You cannot deposit, you cannot cash out, there are no prizes. Chips reset every day. It is a guessing game with a scoreboard.

Can I Google the answer?

No. The jar is drawn and counted by the game itself, fresh every day. The number does not exist anywhere else.

Do I need an account?

No. Open dajar.app and play. If you want your streak on a second device, use your link code.

Why "DA JAR"?

Because every day there is a jar. And because dajar is Arabic for boredom, which is the thing this game exists to kill.

What time is the reveal where I live?

20:00 UTC every day. The game shows a live countdown in your local time, and clue alerts can nudge you.
