FOURTH GAME · PHOTO COMEDY · WITH FRIENDS
Say
Cheese!
One perfect group photo.
The world says no.
You're on holiday at Wobble Ledge. Set the self-timer, run into the shot and strike the pose. Then a geyser erupts, the wind picks up, and your three friends do exactly what they always do. You get the photo anyway, with a caption that says who ruined it.

Take one nice photo. How hard can it be?
Every trip gives you a roll of three shots and a brief for each one: everyone waving with the geyser erupting behind you, everyone mid-air, everyone on the wobbly bridge.
- 01
Set the timer.
Look where you want the photo. The yellow wedge on the ground is exactly what the camera will see. Press E, the tripod drops behind you, and you have 10 seconds.
- 02
Get in the shot.
Run into the wedge. The live viewfinder turns green when you're in frame. Strike the pose the brief asks for: wave, peace sign, group hug, jump.
- 03
The world ruins it.
The geyser rumbles before it blows. The wind whooshes before a gust. The plank creaks before it tips. You always see it coming. That doesn't mean you can stop it.
- 04
The album.
Each photo gets a score and a caption that names who did what. At the end: best shot, blooper, a looping burst of the last second, and a trip postcard to download.
Meet the crew.
For now your friends are three bots with very strong personalities. They're predictable enough to blame by name.
-
Zippy
always late
Wanders off to look at a crab, then sprints in during the last second. Can't brake. Sometimes takes the whole group down on arrival.
-
Cheeky
photobomber
Waits until you're perfectly framed, then steps in front of you and pulls a face. Does this in about two out of three shots.
-
Wobbly
clumsy
Trips on flat ground, falls off the plank, and turns up in a lot of photos as a ghost. Still makes it into the picture.
Want to play with your friends' names? Rename the crew on the start screen. The captions, the album and the postcard all use your names.
Straight from the album.
Every photo here was taken by the game's own tripod camera. Nothing staged. We couldn't stage this if we tried.
Failure is content.
- Captions that blame people. Who was mid-air, who faced the wrong way, who was a ghost, who photobombed whom. Never the same joke twice in a trip.
- Fair chaos. Every hazard is telegraphed. The geyser keeps a steady rhythm with a pressure gauge, so a perfect eruption shot is a skill, not luck.
- Bonus points for disasters. Someone launched by the geyser, a ghost cameo, a perfect photobomb: the photographer's choice bonus rewards the funny ones.
- Take it home. Download any photo, or the trip postcard with all three shots on it.
Quick answers.
Is it free?
Yes. Say Cheese is an early prototype that runs in your browser. No download, no signup.
Can I play on my phone?
Not yet. For now you need a keyboard and mouse: WASD to move, the mouse to look, E to place the tripod, 1–5 to pose. Touch controls come later.
Can I play with my friends?
Online multiplayer is planned. Right now your friends are Zippy, Cheeky and Wobbly, and you can give them your friends' names on the start screen.
Why is it an early prototype?
We're testing one thing first: are the photos funny? If you play, tap the laugh button after each photo. It's how we decide what to build next.
Why do my photos keep going wrong?
That's the game. But watch the geyser's pressure gauge: start the timer as an eruption dies down and the shutter lands inside the next one.
Everyone, say cheese!
The geyser's due in about six seconds. Better hurry.
